Location: Hybrid role in Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States, with three days in the office each week. Regular early-morning or evening coordination with the Tel Aviv team may be required.

Salary: $138,500–$185,000 USD base salary.

What you will do

• Design and build predictive customer behavior models for targeting, personalization, recommendation, and ranking.
• Implement and optimize machine learning and statistical algorithms, then deliver trained models and related services to production.
• Own ML systems end to end, including design, prototyping, deployment, measurement, maintenance, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Build evaluation harnesses, automated testing frameworks, benchmarks, and guardrails for safe, repeatable ML experimentation using TDD.
• Develop data pipelines that populate HDFS and Hadoop from Kafka logs and SQL production systems.
• Design and support data transformation and computation algorithms on Hadoop, Spark, and other distributed big data systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computational Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Python and Java.
• Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Spark MLlib, plus SQL for data exploration and analysis.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable, high-performance systems and understand how models integrate with data and serving infrastructure.
• Experience taking ML systems from design and development through production, measurement, and maintenance.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and collaborate across teams, including with colleagues in Tel Aviv.

• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, or personalization at scale.
• Familiarity with real-time machine learning and large-scale data mining.
