TL;DR
Compliance & Risk Consultant (Payments): Managing global compliance programs for 's payment network with an accent on regulatory oversight, client compliance, operational quality, and risk control. Location: São Paulo, Brazil; at least 3 days per week in the office, with the exact schedule confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do
- Manage existing and new global compliance programs, including Payment Facilitators, Merchant Location, Cross-Border Acceptance, Digital Wallet, Marketplace, and Data Quality programs.
- Prioritize team workloads, monitor service-level commitments, track milestones, and oversee operational control points such as Non-Compliance Assessments.
- Manage client compliance negotiations, escalations, corrective action plans, and enforcement activities through to resolution.
- Interpret Rules and regulatory requirements for clients and internal stakeholders, and provide practical compliance guidance.
- Analyze management information, performance trends, and operational data to improve service quality, efficiency, and compliance strategy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Acceptance, Legal, Risk, Account Management, Client Services, and senior client representatives.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in financial services, payment cards, banking, audit, or compliance, or equivalent experience based on degree level.
- Experience managing multifaceted compliance programs and coordinating projects at an international level.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, interpersonal, written communication, research, analytical, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory topics in plain English and present technical and business issues to stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Ability to set priorities, manage expectations, work independently and collaboratively, and operate effectively across cultures and remote situations.
- Ability to work from the São Paulo office at least three days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with or in-depth knowledge of the payment solutions industry.
- Experience with Rules, a regulatory body, a card membership organization, or another financial industry body.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; SharePoint and Visio experience is a plus.
