Location: Remote within the continental United States. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.

What you will do

• Guide the architecture and operation of GCP networking, compute, storage, identity, access management, security, and supporting platform services.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure, Terraform deployments, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and DevSecOps processes.
• Assess operational readiness, including monitoring, runbooks, escalation paths, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
• Analyze metrics and logs, conduct root cause analysis, and define sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Support release management, database releases and rollbacks, technical design reviews, Change Control Board and Architecture Review Board activities.
• Advise customer operations and delivery teams, clarify ambiguous requirements, and provide technical leadership in customer-facing engagements.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and FAA Public Trust eligibility or an active FAA Public Trust are required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience supporting or operating production environments in Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of GCP networking, compute, storage, identity and access management, and core security services.
• Hands-on Terraform experience, including reusable modules, remote state management, deployment troubleshooting, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with production GitOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps, monitoring, logging, resiliency, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• Strong technical advisory, customer communication, facilitation, documentation, and Tier 3 troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud professional-level certification.
• Experience with government, regulated, aviation, transportation, or other mission-critical cloud environments.
• Apigee architecture, deployment, or operations experience.
• Experience with formal Change Control Board or Architecture Review Board processes.
• Familiarity with site reliability engineering and large-scale cloud transformation programs.
