Senior Director of Security Engineering (AI Security)

Location: Hybrid, with managers and teams deciding on in-office collaboration for 10+ days per month.

What you will do

• Set the strategic vision and roadmap for product, infrastructure, IT, and AI security.
• Define guardrails, scope boundaries, blast-radius limits, rollback mechanisms, testing gates, and human oversight for AI agents and AI-assisted development.
• Lead and develop a high-performing security engineering team while promoting technical excellence and a strong security culture.
• Review security architecture for new products, infrastructure changes, and major engineering initiatives before production.
• Own vulnerability management, including penetration testing, risk prioritization, and remediation coordination.
• Advise senior leadership, engineering, product, and IT partners on security risks and priorities.

Requirements

• 15+ years of security engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership or management.
• Hands-on expertise in AI security, including LLM, AI agent, and AI-assisted development risks and guardrails.
• Expert knowledge of security architecture across AWS, GCP, Azure, modern application stacks, and networks.
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, secure coding, OWASP Top 10, and blockchain vulnerabilities.
• Experience with OAuth, SAML, OIDC, endpoint protection, IAM, threat modeling, and risk identification.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
