What you will do

• Design, develop, and test software for Class I, II, and III medical devices in accordance with software standards such as IEC 62304.
• Plan moderately complex and major projects, manage scope, and estimate work with product engineers, architects, software designers, and test engineers.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to software engineers.
• Review requirements, specifications, designs, code, and other engineering artifacts to support timely delivery.
• Develop reusable software patterns and contribute to process improvements that increase team velocity.
• Collaborate across functions and with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 7 years of relevant technical experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of technical experience.
• Experience designing software for medical devices.
• Proficiency in at least two of XML, C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, C#, .NET, and Python.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and test-driven development.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills.
