Senior QA & Automation Engineer

TL;DR

Senior QA & Automation Engineer (Python/pytest, Playwright): Building and maintaining automated testing for hirify.global’s endpoint management and security platform with an accent on UI, API, integration, regression, and CI/CD quality engineering. Focus on scaling test environments, diagnosing resource and operating-system issues, resolving flaky tests, and validating reliable releases across complex enterprise deployments.

Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland, with 3 days per week in the Fabryczna office

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Embed automation into engineering squads and maintain an automation-first, shift-left testing approach.
• Build and monitor CI/CD regression pipelines, investigate flaky tests, and maintain reliable quality signals.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and basic security test plans.
• Document defects, validate fixes, and collaborate with developers and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Manage concurrent projects, estimates, timelines, and knowledge sharing within the Krakow QA team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA or testing experience focused on test automation in a B2B software or SaaS environment.
• Proficiency with Python and pytest; experience with Playwright or Selenium for UI testing.
• Strong experience with REST API testing and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, the test automation pyramid, Page Object Model, Agile/Scrum, and defect management.
• Familiarity with load, stress, performance, and basic OWASP security testing.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required; hybrid attendance in the Krakow office 3 days weekly is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Linux and Windows installation and configuration.
• Experience with virtualization or containerization, including VMware, vCenter, or Proxmox.
• Proficiency with Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or another scripting language.
• Experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, authentication, file signatures, or certificates.
• ISTQB CTFL certification.
