What you will do

• Design and evolve maintainable automated test frameworks for embedded IoT products using Python, pytest, and reusable test libraries.
• Drive end-to-end validation of MCU-based systems, firmware functionality, communication protocols, hardware interactions, timing behavior, and device reliability.
• Build and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop environments and investigate intermittent hardware and firmware issues.
• Validate CoAP, Wi-Fi, GNSS, APIs, connectivity flows, device state transitions, error handling, secure boot, OTA updates, rollback, and recovery scenarios.
• Integrate test suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including reporting, regression execution, quality gates, and release validation.
• Analyze failures across firmware, infrastructure, networking, containers, cloud platforms, and hardware while mentoring engineers on quality practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience in embedded software testing and automated validation of hardware-based systems, including sensors and communication interfaces.
• Advanced Python and pytest expertise, including fixtures, parametrization, custom markers, and framework development.
• Deep knowledge of MCU systems, memory management, timing, peripherals, power management, hardware debugging, and firmware validation.
• Hands-on experience with Zephyr RTOS, Kconfig, Device Tree, board setup, build variants, HIL testing, Docker, Docker Compose, and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• Knowledge of CoAP, Wi-Fi, GNSS, embedded communications, test traceability, quality metrics, defect management, and cloud-connected environments.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher is required for daily communication with international stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with CPLD and firmware interaction testing.
• Knowledge of soak testing, long-duration validation, advanced test analytics, and test result visualization.
• Experience with IoT platforms, environmental monitoring, industrial automation, or connected product ecosystems.
