TL;DR
IT Specialist (IT Support) (Windows/Microsoft Office): Providing first-line technical support and maintaining hardware, software, user accounts, and office networks for an energy-sector program with an accent on reliable infrastructure, access management, and user service. Focus on troubleshooting complex incidents, supporting events, maintaining equipment inventories, and automating operational workflows with Power Automate and PowerShell.
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; candidates must be based in and eligible to work in Ukraine. The role requires working from the office for at least 60% of weekly working time and occasional overlap with United States Eastern Time business hours.

What you will do
- Provide first-line technical support through phone, email, messenger, and remote access.
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot software, computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Maintain user accounts, passwords, permissions, identity access, office networks, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
- Support online and offline events, user onboarding, equipment inventory, procurement, and repairs.
- Document IT activities and incidents, escalate complex issues, and ensure compliance with IT policies.
- Assist with automating program processes and operational workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant IT support or user helpdesk experience.
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, network protocols, VPN, Wi-Fi, user account management, access control, and identity management.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices, with familiarity with scripting or development.
- Fluent Ukrainian and full professional proficiency in English required.
- Must be based in and eligible to work in Ukraine; minimum 60% office attendance required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a relevant information technology or computer science field.
- Experience on projects funded by the U.S. Government or other donors.
- Experience with Power Automate or PowerShell.
Culture & Benefits
- Full-time fixed-term employment through the end of the program in April 2029.
- Monday–Friday schedule during standard local business hours, generally 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
- Some schedule flexibility with occasional U.S. Eastern Time overlap.
