What you will do

• Own reporting capabilities from discovery through production operation.
• Shape technical and product decisions in collaboration with product and design partners.
• Design scalable services and data flows with a focus on reliability and observability.
• Lead technical problem-solving across service boundaries.
• Improve engineering practices through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor other engineers without formal people management responsibilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems.
• Strong experience in Go or another backend language, with an interest in adopting Go.
• Experience designing APIs and data-intensive services.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience operating services in a cloud environment.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup from Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP.
• Knowledge of real-time data pipelines.
• Experience with analytics or reporting products.
• Proficiency in React or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience in ML, AI, or LLM-powered product development.
