Salary: $111,000–$207,000 per year

What you will do

• Build the software underpinning the Confluent Cloud network data plane platform.
• Design, develop, and operationalize high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient systems.
• Independently drive complex software projects from execution through production delivery.
• Extend open-source software to create business impact.
• Troubleshoot and improve operations across a multi-cloud stack involving microservices, containers, and virtualization.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus practical Kubernetes and containerization experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development and experience operating large-scale systems.
• Solid systems-level understanding of disks, networks, operating systems, and related infrastructure.
• Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or another statically typed language.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• 5 or more years of relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience.
• Strong networking expertise combined with software engineering experience.
