Staff Site Reliability Engineer (ServiceNow CMDB)

Location: US - Denver, CO; at least 3 days per week in the office are required. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $124,300–$198,600 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM data structures, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and related platform components.
• Build ServiceNow configurations, scripts, workflows, automations, security controls, and data ingestion processes using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, IHETL, transform maps, and Robust Transformers.
• Integrate ServiceNow with Azure, AWS, GCP, and other platforms through MID servers, REST/SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, JDBC, CSV, and other connectors.
• Support testing, deployments, update set management, monthly sprints, releases, incidents, requests, and operational troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor and improve CMDB health by maintaining accurate configuration items, lifecycle data, CI relationships, reconciliation results, identification rates, and data integrity.
• Document technical requirements, configurations, system designs, diagrams, and runbooks, while educating users and collaborating with stakeholders and distributed teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2 years with an advanced degree, or 8+ years of relevant experience without these degree requirements.
• Four or more years of ServiceNow development experience with strong knowledge of ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow administration, performance monitoring, scripting, integrations, data imports, Catalog requests, troubleshooting, and CMDB data quality practices.
• Experience with JavaScript, JSON, REST integrations, Scripted REST APIs, PowerShell, and complex SQL queries.
• Ability to document configurations and architecture, communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, and work independently in an Agile environment.
• Ability to work from the Denver office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or ITOM Discovery certification.
• Master’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related technology field.
• Technical SRE, DevOps, cloud technologies, GenAI, AI prompt engineering, or ITIL V4 expertise.
• Experience working with multicultural teams across diverse geographic locations.
