Junior Cloud Reliability Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid role based within a comfortable commuting distance of the Cambridge, UK office, with onsite attendance required as needed. Candidates must already have or be willing to relocate to the UK. Applicants must have permanent right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Learn and support backend infrastructure spanning game worlds, networking, build pipelines, version control, data center hardware, and cloud services.
• Handle operational support requests, troubleshoot live systems, escalate incidents when needed, and investigate root causes.
• Help development teams manage cloud-native workloads through the cloud platform and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Manage Linux virtual machines through monitoring, configuration management, and workload optimization.
• Participate in incident response and post-mortems to improve system resilience.

Requirements

• Comfort working in a Linux terminal and writing Bash scripts.
• Familiarity with Python or another programming language and strong problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and the OSI model.
• Good communication skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn and challenge existing approaches.
• Permanent right to work in the UK without employer visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Previous infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
