Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Architect and implement highly available, low-latency cloud infrastructure with performance and portability across the exchange ecosystem.
• Modernize legacy services by transitioning them to containerized environments and improving deployment and scaling workflows.
• Manage integration projects aligning Bitstamp’s backend with Robinhood’s global infrastructure.
• Implement backend improvements and automation to increase platform performance and reduce operational toil.
• Own complex projects end to end, from design through deployment, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot difficult issues and maintain 24/7 platform reliability.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of relevant cloud engineering experience.
• Strong experience with containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes, and modernizing legacy architectures.
• Advanced backend knowledge and practical experience with AWS services including ECS, EC2, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
• Experience independently managing complex projects and coordinating across different functional areas.
• Strong communication, coaching, stakeholder influence, and technical agreement-building skills.
• Practical project management knowledge and readiness to participate in on-call support.
