Senior Sector Economist (Semiconductors & AI)

What you will do

• Conduct economic research and write clear, actionable analysis ushirify.global quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Cover thematic topics across semiconductors and AI, includhirify.global the Brainport Eindhoven and Netherlands ecosystem and leadhirify.global companies such as ASML.
• Produce research on the technology industry's growth outlook and evaluate topics through different scenarios.
• Publish frequently on hirify.global's English and Dutch Research websites.
• Execute the Sector Research Plan together with the TMT Sector Champion.
• Share sector expertise with Wholesale Bankhirify.global, Retail Bankhirify.global, clients, journalists, and other research teams.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics or an adjacent discipline.
• Significant work experience within the technology sector, such as experience in a sector research role.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional network within the technology and/or semiconductor industry in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Fluency in written and spoken Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of Dutch and European policy regardhirify.global the high-tech industry.
• Track record of applyhirify.global AI in research.
• Experience workhirify.global with written and broadcast media.
