Senior Data Software Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

Senior Data Software Engineer (AWS/Java/Python): Designing and building a strategic B2B API platform to monetize connected car data with an accent on microservices, secure data sharing, and cloud-native architectures. Focus on implementing authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0/OIDC), scalable API contracts, and multi-cloud integration across AWS, Azure, and Ali Cloud.

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. Must have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in Sweden.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices and APIs for an external B2B service platform.
• Build platform capabilities for authentication, authorization, tenant access, and billing support within an AWS environment.
• Implement secure OAuth 2.0 / OIDC and system-to-system integration patterns.
• Collaborate with data engineers to expose data products from Databricks + AWS as secure external services.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments, and automated testing workflows.
• Document API designs, workflows, and technical decisions to ensure system maintainability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software, backend, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with backend languages: Java, Python, and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Proven experience with AWS and cloud-native service development.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, API architecture, and OAuth 2.0/OIDC.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, including Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Valid eligibility to work full time in Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks or specialized data platform environments.
• Exposure to Azure, Ali Cloud, and cross-cloud integration.
• Domain experience in automotive, mobility, or connected vehicle systems.
• Experience with production monitoring and observability tools.
