Senior Business IT Engineer (Atlassian Cloud)

Location: Vienna, Austria. Hybrid working model combining onsite collaboration and remote work.

What you will do

• Design, configure, and optimise Atlassian Cloud products at enterprise scale.
• Establish standardised configurations, schemes, and governance models.
• Analyse complex business requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions with documentation.
• Build advanced Jira reports, dashboards, planning views, automations, and integrations using third-party applications and REST APIs.
• Train employees, promote Atlassian best practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Expertise in architecting and scaling Atlassian Cloud systems; no on-premises or Data Center systems are used in-house.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering, engineering, and scaling Atlassian Cloud systems in an enterprise or scale-up environment, plus several years as a Business IT Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Assets, advanced automation using native features, JMWE, or ScriptRunner, and REST APIs.
• Strong stakeholder-management and consulting skills, including the ability to guide teams toward sustainable best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Extension for JSM, EazyBI, or Xray.
• Scripting experience with Groovy, JavaScript, or Python.
