Salary: $180,000 - $245,000

What you will do

• Serve as the subject matter expert for the Android codebase, setting technical direction and standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex, cross-team initiatives spanning multiple quarters.
• Solve the most ambiguous and complex technical problems in the Android domain.
• Mentor and coach engineers to elevate the group's collective technical capability.
• Shape the Android technical vision and roadmap in collaboration with product and design.
• Champion improvements in the Android ecosystem and occasionally contribute to open-source community PRs.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in developing complex Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong command of Android UI/UX design and architecture principles.
• Experience establishing and driving technical standards across an organization.
• Proficiency in unit, UI, and snapshot testing.
• Must be located in the U.S.
• Must not require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience using Claude Code or similar generative AI coding platforms.
• Knowledge of Android-specific components such as Autofill and Accessibility Services.
• Experience with Google Play internal and beta testing tracks.
