What you will do

• Design and ship production GenAI systems, including LLM-based agentic AI and optimized RAG systems, into customer AWS environments.
• Build evaluation harnesses and instrument performance metrics to drive feature design for non-deterministic systems.
• Lead technical architecture reviews, produce design documentation, and write production code across AI, backend, and data pipelines.
• Mentor a pod of 2-5 junior and mid-level ML engineers through code reviews and growth path planning.
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Executives to map client workflows and transform them into technical solutions that drive business KPIs.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring for maintainable production systems.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Colombia.
• English: B2+ proficiency required for collaboration with multicultural teams.
• Employment: Long-term B2B collaboration.
• Proven experience shipping production LLM applications and agentic workflows (multi-step, graph-based orchestration).
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS production services (Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS).
• Expertise in building and owning evaluation suites for AI systems, including drift detection and cost/latency optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and defining technical competency standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, insurance, or healthcare industries.
• Background in professional services or customer-facing consulting.
• AWS and Claude Code Certifications.
• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or Kafka.
