Manager, Upfitting Solutions (Automotive)

Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States)

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 USD

A partner company specializing in advanced mobility platforms for the commercial vehicle industry.

What you will do

• Lead the strategy and execution of vehicle customization solutions to help commercial customers maximize platform value.
• Develop and maintain scalable upfit frameworks and configuration rules for delivery, utility, and specialty builds.
• Consult with customers to translate operational requirements and use cases into practical technical solutions.
• Manage relationships and onboarding for upfit partners, body manufacturers, and equipment suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to validate feasibility and communicate customer needs.
• Create repeatable workflows, playbooks, and tools for upfit selection and approval.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in commercial vehicles, vehicle upfitting, or fleet solutions.
• Strong technical understanding of box bodies, refrigeration systems, liftgates, and specialty equipment.
• Proven experience working with OEMs, dealers, and fleet customers.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to develop standardized product frameworks and operational guidelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with electric vehicles, alternative powertrains, or emerging mobility technologies.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems, weight distribution, and load constraints.
