About the Role

You will support the corporate tax function with a primary focus on income tax provision and tax compliance. You will assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, support tax-related financial reporting and disclosures, and manage federal and state income tax filings. You will also conduct tax research, support audit responses, and monitor tax law and regulatory changes affecting the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate tax or public accounting
• Strong experience with income tax provision and tax compliance
• Solid knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate tax accounting principles
• Experience preparing or reviewing federal and multi-state income tax returns
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with tax software and financial systems
• CPA, MST, or other relevant advanced tax/accounting credential is preferred
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740
• Prepare and maintain supporting workpapers for current and deferred tax calculations
• Assist in preparing tax-related financial statement disclosures and footnotes
• Monitor deferred tax assets, liabilities, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions
• Partner with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate tax balances in financial statements
• Manage and support the preparation, review, and filing of federal and state income tax returns
• Coordinate quarterly estimated tax payments, extensions, and other required filings
• Research tax law changes and emerging regulatory developments
• Prepare summaries and recommendations regarding tax impact of business activities and transactions
• Support responses to tax authority notices, audits, and information requests
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
