Financial Systems Analyst (Workday)

Location: Must be based in Germany (Berlin or Remote)

What you will do

• Configure and maintain Workday Financials backbone including GL, AP, AR, and bank connectivity.
• Design business process configurations, security roles, and domain policies aligned with audit requirements.
• Develop custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields for Finance and leadership.
• Manage SaaS integrations between Workday and tools such as Stripe, HubSpot, Pleo, and Avalara.
• Lead system testing (unit, regression, UAT) for configuration changes and Workday releases.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and maintain comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration experience (GL, AP, AR).
• Experience with Workday business process framework and security configuration.
• Strong Workday reporting skills, including custom reports and calculated fields.
• Experience connecting SaaS business systems via APIs and integration patterns.
• Understanding of core accounting concepts like chart of accounts and period close.
• Must be based in Germany.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in German.
• Workday Pro certification in Financials or adjacent modules.
• Accounting degree, CPA, or equivalent finance qualification.
• Experience with BIRT, Workday Studio, EIBs, or Core Connectors.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.
