What you will do

• Analyze transactional data to identify emerging fraud patterns and attack vectors.
• Design, test, and iterate rules that minimize fraud while safeguarding conversion and UX.
• Collaborate with Data Science to enhance features and refine model scoring thresholds.
• Own KPIs for key clients and industries, aligning fraud goals with their specific needs.
• Run A/B tests and backtesting to quantify the impact of rules and models.
• Build monitoring dashboards and alerts to track performance and false positives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in fraud prevention or a closely related risk domain.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
• Proven experience with AI/ML applied to fraud or risk scoring.
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
• Must be based in or be able to work hybrid in Montevideo or Buenos Aires.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker, Athena, or QuickSight.
• Automation mindset and experience with rule deployment pipelines.
