What you will do

• Own and resolve complex, nuanced investigations that fall outside standard processes.
• Identify emerging financial crime typologies and translate signals into actionable insights.
• Influence transaction monitoring configurations to close coverage gaps and improve detection infrastructure.
• Maintain strong investigative controls and support transaction monitoring quality.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the financial crime framework scales across global markets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AML or financial crime investigations within fintech, banking, payments, or law enforcement.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end transaction monitoring and complex case escalations.
• Proven ability to draft well-supported Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) per regulatory expectations.
• Solid understanding of US and/or EU AML and financial crime regulations, including sanctions and PEP frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be based in New York.

Nice to have

• CAMS, ICA, or equivalent AML certification.
• Experience with crypto, investments, or EU/UK regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in German, Swedish, and/or French.
• Experience optimizing screening tools or translating insights into monitoring rule design.
• Enthusiasm for AI-powered tooling in investigative or compliance contexts.
