What you will do

• Design and run the operational risk control testing cycle, assessing control design and following up on remediation with owners.
• Carry out periodic reviews and draft proportionate amendments to local standards to align with regulation and ABN AMRO policies.
• Coordinate and maintain the SIRA, facilitating risk identification workshops and updating risk scoring as products evolve.
• Lead Change Risk Assessments (CRA) to evaluate the operational risk impact of new products, processes, and vendors before they go live.
• Draft necessary monthly and quarterly reporting for ABN AMRO.
• Perform risk analyses and deep dives to identify vulnerabilities and advise stakeholders on mitigation and control design.

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in risk management, risk and control, or a comparable first or second line role.
• Hands-on experience with control testing, policy reviews, and risk assessments (SIRA/CRA).
• Familiarity with risk taxonomies, risk and control frameworks, and governance processes.
• Solid understanding of the regulatory environment for financial institutions (e.g., AFM/DNB, MiFID II, Wft).
• Data-driven, pragmatic mindset with an affinity for improving processes and controls.
• Must be based in Amsterdam for a hybrid work arrangement.
