Evaluation Consultant (Quantitative Impact Evaluation)

TL;DR

Evaluation Consultant (Quantitative Impact Evaluation): Designing and implementing experimental and quasi-experimental evaluations of government interventions with an accent on quantitative methodologies, empirical research, and national evaluation capacity building. Focus on applying regression analysis and econometric modeling to government data, communicating complex findings, and guiding robust policy evaluations.

Location: Home based in Switzerland with travel as required; duty station Geneva.

What you will do

• Assess the feasibility of experimental and quasi-experimental evaluations of government interventions.
• Design, manage, and implement quantitative strategic evaluations.
• Provide technical guidance to hirify.global Country Offices and government counterparts.
• Strengthen national evaluation capacity in counterfactual evaluation methodologies.
• Conduct empirical research using government data, regression analysis, and modeling for policymaking.
• Communicate complex analytical findings to support evaluation stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in economics, social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience managing and conducting quantitative evaluations and empirical research.
• Experience with impact evaluation and other quantitative methodologies at national and international levels.
• Experience using government data for experimental or quasi-experimental evaluations.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Experience communicating complex analysis and supporting government-led evaluations in high-income and upper-middle-income contexts.

Nice to have

• Experience using open-source econometric packages such as R.
• Familiarity with evaluation work in European countries.
