Okendo is a customer marketing platform that enables Shopify brands to grow by cultivating brand advocacy through reviews, referrals, quizzes, loyalty, and surveys.

What you will do

• Develop and ship frontend features across Vue-based widgets, Angular merchant admin tools, and React Shopify integrations.
• Design and implement software solutions in close collaboration with product, design, and backend engineering teams.
• Write clean, well-tested TypeScript code and maintain high technical standards through rigorous code reviews.
• Break down ambiguous, complex problems into well-scoped tasks and manage end-to-end feature ownership from design to deployment.
• Contribute to system design discussions to evolve the frontend architecture as the platform scales.
• Mentor other engineers and collaborate with backend teams on a serverless AWS stack to design performant APIs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building production frontend applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern framework (Vue, Angular, or React) and the ability to ramp up quickly across the others.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality, maintainable code in a team environment.
• Comfort working across a full serverless stack (APIs, event-driven services, cloud infrastructure).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for asynchronous collaboration with a global team.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, SQS/SNS).
• Experience building SDKs or embeddable widgets that run on third-party sites.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Prior experience in ecommerce, martech, or the Shopify ecosystem.
