Security Lead (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Security Lead (Cybersecurity): Leading daily security operations and a team of analysts responsible for detecting, mitigating, and responding to cyber threats with an accent on cloud security, SIEM monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response. What you will do

• Lead the security operations team, prioritizing workloads, handling escalations, coaching performance, and mentoring junior team members.
• Oversee monitoring of SIEM alerts, endpoint protection tools, and threat intelligence feeds.
• Guide threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, investigations, and remediation across IT, infrastructure, and DevOps.
• Partner with legal, compliance, engineering, and operations to integrate security requirements into business functions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, evidence collection, policy alignment, and security documentation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security, including 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security across AWS and Azure, SIEM platforms, and endpoint detection tools.
• Experience with incident response, threat modeling, vulnerability management, security programs, and cross-functional remediation projects.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification.
