What you will do

• Lead risk-based security reviews across cloud architecture, application security, and third-party integrations.
• Develop and document a repeatable risk review methodology, including templates and decision records.
• Define secure-by-default standards and patterns to reduce friction in delivery pipelines.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including legal, procurement, and AI governance committees.
• Assess security controls for automated systems, including AI agents and non-human identities.
• Mentor engineers on risk review practices and contribute to the strategic direction of the risk engineering program.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or cloud security.
• Deep expertise in at least two areas: cloud security, IAM, application security, or vendor risk.
• Proven track record of designing identity controls for automated systems and least-privilege principles.
• Experience turning ambiguous risk domains into documented, repeatable standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to present risk tradeoffs to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/GenAI or agentic system security.
• Familiarity with FERPA and student data privacy obligations.
• Experience with emerging AI governance frameworks.
