Corporate AI Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid in the Buffalo, NY area with three days per week in the East Aurora office; applicants must live locally, be willing to relocate, or support this hybrid schedule. The role requires access to U.S. government and export-controlled information.

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Implement, maintain, and improve the enterprise AI Assurance and Monitoring Program.
• Develop policies, standards, procedures, and controls for internal and third-party AI technologies.
• Monitor AI usage, investigate unauthorized tools and policy violations, and coordinate remediation.
• Design logging, auditing, alerting, dashboards, and monthly executive assurance reports.
• Assess AI risks including data exposure, prompt injection, model behavior, and vendor risks.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, IT, Legal, Compliance, Data Management, and business stakeholders on responsible AI adoption and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance, or a related discipline.
• Experience with AI and Machine Learning technologies, including LLMs, and their security and governance risks.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, data classification, DLP, privacy regulations, and enterprise technology monitoring.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, SaaS-based AI solutions, cloud platforms, and third-party vendor risk management.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and CMMC regulations.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or AI/security-related certifications.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
