TL;DR

Student - Automation (Test Automation): Supporting automated test development, maintenance, and execution for health solutions software with an accent on API testing, SQL, and software quality practices. Focus on validating application functionality, identifying defects, expanding test coverage, and learning automation frameworks in collaboration with experienced professionals.

Location: Multiple opportunities across Atlantic Canada and Ontario. Full-time Fall student placement from September 15 to December 15.

What you will do

• Assist with developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts.
• Validate application functionality and help identify and document defects.
• Improve test coverage and support reliable, high-quality software releases.
• Use API testing, SQL, Git/GitLab, and automation tools in practical software delivery activities.
• Collaborate with the Automation team and cross-functional partners on real projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a post-secondary program in information technology, computer science, software development, information systems, quality assurance, or a related technical field.
• Foundational knowledge of Git/GitLab, basic SQL, and API testing with Postman.
• Programming aptitude and interest in learning test automation tools such as WebdriverIO.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Communication, collaboration, curiosity, and openness to learning new tools and software delivery practices.

Nice to have

• Bilingualism in English and French may be an asset depending on location and team needs.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot.
