TL;DR
QC Manual Tester (Insurance): Designing and executing comprehensive manual tests for web and desktop applications with an accent on functional coverage, API validation, and data migration accuracy. Focus on analyzing complex business requirements, building maintainable test strategies, and verifying integrations, releases, and production fixes within Agile/Scrum teams.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for web and desktop applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
  • Conduct API testing with Postman and validate backend services and system integrations.
  • Support data migration testing by validating data mapping, integrity, reconciliation, and migration accuracy.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify defects; prepare test reports and communicate quality metrics, risks, and progress.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support production releases and post-deployment verification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong experience testing web applications and basic exposure to desktop applications.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and independently design logical, scalable, and maintainable test cases and coverage strategies.
  • Experience working with Business Analysts or end users and participating in data migration projects.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the insurance domain.
  • Familiarity with SQL, database validation, Jira, Azure DevOps, or other test management tools.
