What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix servers across physical and virtual environments.
• Monitor system health and resolve CPU, memory, storage, network, and performance bottlenecks.
• Apply security hardening, manage access and permissions, patch systems, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Maintain backup procedures and test disaster recovery processes to protect data integrity.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on infrastructure optimization and continuous improvement.
• Participate in on-call support for business-critical infrastructure when required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of enterprise-level experience administering Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, kernel tuning, LVM, RAID, and advanced command-line administration.
• Hands-on Puppet experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, NTP, IP routing, and operating-system firewall configuration.
• Ability to automate administrative tasks with Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with Git and GitFlow-based infrastructure and configuration management processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
• Hands-on Terraform experience and familiarity with Ansible.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm.
• RHCSA, RHCE, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
