What you will do

• Develop VirtIO virtual devices, including virtual sockets, shared input, shared filesystems, and shared messaging systems.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors and Android AOSP teams on device drivers, memory mappings, and interrupt handling.
• Provide customer and field engineering support for integrations, deployment blockers, and tailored middleware solutions.
• Optimize real-time performance across kernel-space drivers, user-space libraries, and the broader software stack through profiling and tuning.
• Contribute to virtualization, embedded security, product roadmap, and design discussions.

Requirements

• Strong foundational software development knowledge and proficiency in C/C++.
• Understanding of real-time systems and low-level programming, including DMA, interrupts, memory mapping, and device driver architecture.
• Familiarity with QNX RTOS, including its kernel, device drivers, IPC, and memory management.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across hardware, operating system, and application teams.

Nice to have

• Exposure to VirtIO, hypervisors, Android AOSP framework layers, QEMU, or Xen.
• Experience gained through internships, academic coursework, or complex personal projects.
• Experience with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 and ASIL D.
