Salary: $135,000–$180,000–$198,000 annually in Colorado, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do
- Lead vendor interactions for satellite bus procurement and manage design and technical issues with aerospace specialists.
- Write and oversee statements of work, satellite bus requirements, and requirement verification activities.
- Review interface control documents, payload integration plans, test plans, design reviews, analyses, and test reports.
- Evaluate RFIs and RFP responses from satellite component vendors.
- Support space projects from customer needs and initial architecture through assembly, integration, testing, and on-orbit operations.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or other qualifying U.S. Person status is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, physics, or a related field.
- 6–12 years of aerospace systems engineering experience, including end-to-end satellite program experience.
- Experience owning the design, analysis, testing, and qualification of a satellite bus or complete satellite system.
- Experience designing and qualifying hardware and software for LEO environments, including structural, thermal, radiation, and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Experience decomposing and verifying satellite requirements and overseeing subcontractor environmental testing and test reports.
Nice to have
- Earth observation satellite program or satellite bus lead systems engineering experience.
- RF systems design, space radios, transmitters, or transceivers experience.
- Experience with space-based memory, mission data recorders, precision timing, encryption hardware, or satellite flight software.
- Experience integrating AI-enabled edge-compute, optical crosslink, or other advanced space solutions.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance.
