Salary: $224,000–$313,500 in Seattle or $242,000–$338,500 in San Jose, with performance-based potential up to $358,500 or $387,000 respectively.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evaluate multi-step agentic AI systems with planning, tool use, memory, and multi-agent collaboration.
• Research and implement agentic architectures including ReAct, reflection loops, chain-of-thought prompting, and tool-augmented reasoning.
• Develop orchestration frameworks for task decomposition, delegation, failure handling, and recovery.
• Integrate LLMs with tools, APIs, databases, and code execution environments for real-world task completion.
• Define evaluation frameworks covering task success, reliability, latency, cost, safety, benchmarking, and production monitoring.
• Lead cross-functional delivery, mitigate agentic-system risks, and mentor senior ML engineers and scientists.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of related industry experience.
• Experience designing and deploying agentic or multi-step AI systems in production or research settings.
• Strong proficiency in Python and an ML framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Experience with LLM APIs, orchestration libraries, external tools, APIs, structured data, and production model deployment.
• Experience with prompt engineering and ML evaluation frameworks, including offline benchmarks and production monitoring.

• MS or PhD in a relevant technical field.
