What you will do

• Own the backend architecture, services, data model, and APIs for a greenfield customer-facing product.
• Design systems for performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Build backend services primarily with Go, Node, or comparable technologies.
• Contribute to the frontend and ship product features end to end across the stack.
• Make architectural decisions, propose approaches, and take ownership from concept through implementation.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code as a core part of the development workflow.

Requirements

• Strong backend fundamentals covering databases, data structures, asynchronous programming, and system design.
• Ability to make architectural decisions and build systems from zero rather than implement predefined designs.
• Solid frontend skills and comfort shipping complete customer-facing features.
• Experience building products for real end users, preferably B2C internet products.
• Technology-agnostic background across multiple stacks, with deep backend experience in Go, Node, or similar technologies.
• Real fluency with AI coding tools and comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience building a product from scratch at a startup with limited existing structure.
• Experience designing and scaling backend services and data layers.
• Frontend depth on a customer-facing product.
