Solidity Compiler Frontend Engineer (Blockchain)

Location: Remote within the United States; employment requires verification of US work eligibility.

Salary: $140,000–$220,000 annual compensation for roles performed in the US.

What you will do

• Design and implement Solidity compiler frontend components, including lexical analysis, parsing, AST generation, and semantic analysis.
• Optimize compiler performance and improve error reporting and diagnostics.
• Build integration layers between the Solidity compiler and formal verification tools.
• Contribute to Solidity language features, specifications, and compiler infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security researchers on static analysis and security checks.
• Maintain and improve compiler tooling and related infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Solidity compiler development or related compiler projects.
• Strong Java proficiency and experience with Java-based compiler development and optimization.
• Solid understanding of compiler theory, parsing techniques, type systems, and intermediate representations.
• Experience with formal methods or formal verification tools such as SMT solvers, theorem provers, or verification frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and smart contract execution models.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States and verify employment eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLVM or similar compiler infrastructure.
• Knowledge of programming language semantics and type theory.
• Open-source compiler contributions.
• Experience with Solidity or other blockchain programming languages.
