What you will do

• Own a large section of the game world, from overall environment design through implementation of simpler activities.
• Plan regions, sculpt terrain, edit materials, create roads and waterways, and place points of interest and landmarks.
• Design spaces and traversal paths according to gameplay metrics and project requirements.
• Collaborate with the Lead, Product Owner, Art, Technology, and Level Design teams to align solutions with the game's vision and constraints.
• Identify problems and improve tools, content pipelines, prefabs, asset collections, and layout templates.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a World Designer or equivalent in the game industry, ideally on an open-world title.
• Broad expertise in large-scale spatial design, terrain editing, biomes, landmarks, locations, roads, and rivers.
• Understanding of how to represent lore, story beats, and world-building elements through environment design.
• Strong sense of composition, visual aesthetics, environmental layout, and gameplay-layer distribution.
• Understanding of dependencies and workflows across other game development disciplines.
• Self-motivated approach, ownership, and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities.
