What you will do

• Co-own the end-to-end MaaS system design and technical strategy, authoring decision records and defending technical trade-offs.
• Develop the Inference Gateway and API surface to support major formats like OpenAI and Anthropic, including streaming and tool calling.
• Optimize platform performance focusing on token throughput, KV cache tiering, and p95/p99 TTFT latency.
• Scale the platform into a globally distributed architecture with regional inference pools and an active-active control plane.
• Implement strict multi-tenant isolation, fail-closed authorization, and robust security controls against prompt-injection.
• Build an idempotent, exactly-once token metering and billing system that reconciles high-volume usage ledgers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years owning high-traffic multi-tenant API platforms.
• Deep hands-on proficiency with Go, production Kubernetes (Envoy, GPU-aware scheduling), and OpenTelemetry.
• Expertise in the architectural trade-offs of PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Systems-level understanding of LLM serving, including SSE streaming and prefix caching.
• Proven track record of executing zero-downtime migrations for stateful subsystems.
• Must be based in Singapore.
