TL;DR
Sr Mgr Software Development (Software Engineering): Leading engineering teams in designing, delivering, and supporting scalable, secure software applications, services, and platforms with an accent on technical delivery, software architecture, and people development. Focus on overseeing the full software development lifecycle, driving CI/CD and operational excellence, and improving system reliability and delivery predictability.
Location: United States; remote, hybrid, or onsite based on business needs. Periodic travel may be required.

What you will do
- Lead and develop software engineering teams responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting software applications, services, and platforms.
- Set team direction, priorities, delivery expectations, and technical roadmaps in alignment with organizational and business goals.
- Partner with product, architecture, quality assurance, security, and operations stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Oversee solution design, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, release readiness, and production support.
- Coach engineers and team leads through mentoring, performance management, and career development.
- Drive improvements in code quality, CI/CD, observability, documentation, reliability, and delivery predictability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development, software engineering, or a related technical function.
- At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams, technical leads, or software delivery efforts.
- Experience managing software delivery across the software development lifecycle in agile or hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, code quality, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud-based, enterprise, or customer-facing software systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, observability, and modern software delivery tooling.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or regulated technology environments.
- Experience supporting security, privacy, compliance, or audit requirements.
- Agile leadership, cloud platform, or software engineering management certifications.
