What you will do

• Architect and develop scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java.
• Implement high-quality code with 80% unit test coverage and comprehensive integration testing.
• Optimize core backend modules to ensure maximum reliability and scalability under heavy loads.
• Research and adopt cutting-edge backend technologies to maintain infrastructure excellence.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and architectural guidance.

Requirements

• Advanced experience in Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, specifically Postgres and MongoDB.
• Proven track record of creating and scaling publicly available REST APIs.
• Practical knowledge of message-oriented middleware such as Apache Kafka or ZeroMQ.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Vienna, Austria.
