What you will do

• Design and implement scaling solutions for critical services to remove bottlenecks.
• Develop and deploy new features to production using progressive rollouts and feature flags.
• Investigate and resolve production issues to ensure high system reliability.
• Architect systems capable of handling high traffic and significant scale.
• Plan strategic projects and roadmaps in collaboration with the team.
• Mentor and lead a small team of 3 engineers, transitioning towards an Engineering Manager role.

Requirements

• Significant experience in one or more programming languages.
• Proven ability to design architecture for high-scale systems.
• Experience using AI coding tools and designing AI Backend systems with awareness of cost and latency.
• BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent professional experience.
• Willingness to lead and support other engineers.
• Must be based in or able to work in Paris, France (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a tech lead or team lead mentoring small teams.
• Motivation to push boundaries of AI to improve software engineering practices.
