TL;DR
Cybersecurity Engineer (AI Security): Build secure, reproducible infrastructure and tooling for AI security evaluations with an accent on scalable adversarial testing, cloud-based attack simulations, and threat modeling. Focus on designing repeatable security test environments, reproducing and remediating vulnerabilities, and integrating security throughout the development lifecycle.
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Salary: $135K–$160K

What you will do
- Build tools, automation, and infrastructure for scalable adversarial testing of AI systems and applications.
- Create and maintain realistic, repeatable security test environments using cloud infrastructure and Terraform.
- Collaborate with red teamers to reproduce, investigate, and remediate vulnerabilities found during AI security assessments.
- Develop and automate attack simulations to validate security controls and improve resilience of AI-powered systems.
- Perform threat modeling and security design reviews for new systems and features.
- Integrate security with software engineering across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a closely related topic.
- Professional experience with Python and collaborative development using git/GitHub.
- Experience securing cloud environments using AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), plus strong Linux, networking, and modern web technology knowledge.
- Experience automating cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on offensive security experience (penetration tests, red team assessments, adversary emulation) and strong understanding of authentication/authorization and common web vulnerabilities.
Nice to have
- Experience turning offensive findings into repeatable attack simulations, evaluation tooling, detections, or security-control improvements.
- Experience with CI/CD security and DevSecOps practices; knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common cloud attack techniques.
- Experience with detection engineering or SIEM platforms; building internal developer tools or security platforms.
- Security certifications (GSEC, OSCP, or cloud security certifications) and open-source security contributions or CTF participation.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth/startup environments.
