What you will do

• Act as a design authority for Appian solutions, guiding architecture and design decisions.
• Lead the delivery of high-complexity Appian solutions including case management and record-centric applications.
• Define, evolve, and enforce Appian standards, patterns, and platform guardrails.
• Mentor and enable other developers through structured knowledge sharing and code reviews.
• Reduce reliance on external vendors by building internal platform self-sufficiency.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure scalable and reliable deployments.

Requirements

• Must be based in one of the following states: AL, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IN, LA, MD, MS, MO, NC, OH, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA
• 5+ years of end-to-end Appian development experience.
• Deep expertise in Appian SAIL, BPM workflow design, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational database design.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, solution architecture, and mentoring teams.
• Solid understanding of Agile development methodology.

Nice to have

• Appian certifications (Associate, Senior, or Lead).
• Experience with Appian RPA, Process Mining, or plugin development.
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server and cloud infrastructure operations.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies for Appian.
