What you will do

• Apply CPT and E&M codes in accordance with AMA standards for state encounter submission.
• Ensure code selection accurately reflects clinical complexity, medical decision-making, and time documented.
• Verify that all coding is supported by appropriate clinical documentation.
• Document coding decisions using established templates and internal tools.
• Participate in quality reviews and feedback sessions to maintain high accuracy and consistency.
• Meet daily and weekly coding volume targets within defined turnaround times.

Requirements

• Active coding certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or CRC preferred).
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and diagnosis coding.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes.
• Must be based in the United States.
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 0–1 year of coding experience, including internships or training programs.
• Exposure to risk adjustment or State Medicaid encounter coding.
