JMP Tutor (Education)

TL;DR

JMP Tutor (Education): Providing 1:1 and small-group virtual instruction in JMP statistical software and applied statistics with an accent on data analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and quality engineering. Focus on developing tailored lesson plans and solving complex analytical problems for learners' research and professional projects.

Location: Remote (United States). Note: availability during Pacific Time (PT) hours is a plus.

Salary: $40 per hour (negotiable)

What you will do

• Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction in JMP statistical software and applied statistics concepts
• Create structured lesson plans tailored to each learner’s academic, research, or professional goals
• Adapt instruction in real time based on learner questions, project needs, and skill level
• Assist learners with coursework, research projects, and manufacturing/process analytics
• Track learner progress and communicate with students and corporate partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience working with students and ability to design lesson plans
• Strong virtual instruction skills, including comfort with video conferencing and digital whiteboards
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace

Nice to have

• Strong working knowledge of JMP software and background in statistics, engineering, or Six Sigma
• Familiarity with DOE, SPC, or process optimization
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring
• Teaching credential, especially in Special Education
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency
