What you will do

• Design interaction models for AI-driven flows, covering initiation, monitoring, correction, and completion of multi-step tasks.
• Define interaction states for AI interfaces, including idle, thinking, acting, uncertain, and recovery states.
• Create human-in-the-loop controls to allow users to review AI decisions and override actions without micromanagement.
• Develop interaction patterns for delegation, approval, escalation, and reversibility.
• Produce detailed interaction specifications, annotated flows, and prototypes for engineering handoff.
• Collaborate with product and ML teams to translate system constraints into intuitive user interaction patterns.

Requirements

• Experience as an interaction designer or senior UX designer with strong interaction design depth.
• Ability to design at the micro level, focusing on states, transitions, and edge-case failure handling.
• Strong prototyping skills in Figma or equivalent tools.
• Deep understanding of HCI principles, including user control, transparency, and graceful recovery.
• Comfort designing for non-deterministic systems where behavior varies across sessions.
• Must be based in the United States.
