Interaction Designer (AI)

What you will do

• Design detailed interaction models for AI-driven multi-step workflows, including initiation, monitoring, pausing, correction, and completion.
• Define interaction states such as idle, thinking, acting, waiting, uncertain, interrupted, failed, and recovered.
• Design human-in-the-loop controls for reviewing decisions, overriding actions, and maintaining user agency.
• Create patterns for delegation, approval, correction, escalation, reversibility, and recovery.
• Produce interaction specifications, annotated flows, and prototypes for engineering handoff.
• Work with product, ML, engineering, and users to test and improve interaction patterns for non-deterministic AI systems.

Requirements

• Experience as an interaction designer or senior UX designer with strong interaction design depth.
• Ability to design micro-level states, transitions, edge cases, and failure handling.
• Strong prototyping skills in Figma or equivalent tools.
• Systematic thinking and the ability to translate complex AI behaviour into coherent user-facing interaction logic.
• Strong understanding of HCI principles, including user control, transparency, feedback, and graceful recovery.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineers and designing for variable, non-deterministic system behaviour.
