Salary: $158,000 - $269,000 USD

What you will do

• Own and execute a research agenda to develop realistic and controllable simulation agents.
• Advance SOTA in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, generative models, and foundation models.
• Collaborate with simulation, autonomy, and safety teams to ship production-ready solutions.
• Mentor junior scientists and interns to foster scientific rigor.
• Publish research in top-tier machine learning or robotics conferences.

Requirements

• Masters or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in imitation learning and/or reinforcement learning.
• Proven track record of publications in top-tier ML or robotics conferences/journals.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience in self-driving or traffic simulation.
• Ability to transition research prototypes into production systems.
• Strong software engineering skills and experience with large-scale training.
