TL;DR
Data Engineer (AWS/Databricks): Designing, building, and maintaining scalable batch and streaming data pipelines with an accent on modern lakehouse architectures and data quality. Focus on implementing Medallion architecture, optimizing SQL transformations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions.
Location: Must be based in Manila or Cebu (Hybrid role).

What you will do
- Design and optimize data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads using AWS and Databricks.
- Implement data models and ingestion frameworks using Medallion architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold).
- Manage ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory or Fabric Pipelines.
- Develop high-performance SQL queries and analytical models for reporting.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and lineage through rigorous testing and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering projects.
- Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas) and SQL.
- Proven experience with AWS and Databricks (Delta Lake).
- Solid understanding of data modeling (Star/Snowflake) and CDC design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools.
- Proficiency with Git for version control and CI/CD integration.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Claude).
- Experience with Power BI, Fabric Data Warehouse, and DAX.
- Knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks.
- Experience integrating machine learning or LLM workflows into pipelines.
