DevOps Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Own build and deployment automation and ensure overall platform health, scaling, and planning.
• Develop self-service tools to improve data engineering efficiency.
• Build logging and monitoring tools to visualize platform state and improve SRE practices.
• Implement a secure, robust, and high-availability DevOps pipeline.
• Build out and maintain a multi-account AWS environment.
• Automate build and deployment processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or software engineering.
• Deep knowledge of AWS cloud technology and experience crafting CI/CD processes.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Pulumi) and containerization (Docker).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other languages.
• U.S. Citizenship status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.
• TS Clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS GovCloud and data processing for the Department of Defense or IC.
• Experience building CI/CD systems in GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Opensearch, and relational database design (SQL).
• Understanding of advanced networking, including VPNs and zero trust networks.
• Ability to work in Pacific or Mountain Time zones and willingness to travel 20-30%.
